Epinions Sony's canalphone twist pays off

by  robinmichael,  Sep 28, 2006
Pros: Combines the MDR series' fantastic bass with much-refined midrange and treble.
Cons: Thin cords ultra tangly, may wear prematurely. Some users may want better sound insulation.
The Bottom Line: These 'phones are great for the road without making one feel they're sacrificing sound quality for portability, given the price range.
Review: A first glance at these 'phones reveals the MDR's trademark asymetrical left and right wire lengths, the left being shorter in a design made to allow the wires to be worn behind the listener's head. Upon closer inspection, though, one sees that the 90s ...

Epinions Driver size does matter!

by  cmacguyer,  Jul 1, 2006
Pros: Excellent Frequency Response - full range. Clean, clear sound - all instruments and vocals.
Cons: Unreeling from holder in case. The price, you get what you pay for.
The Bottom Line: Buy them!
Review: You get what you pay for usually. Well I'm thoroughly impressed. Everything is first class. Looks don't make sound, but in this case looks just enhance the best ear buds I have ever heard. Really! I thought I would give these a try, so I purchased ...

Epinions A good listen.

by  michael2525,  Sep 14, 2006
Pros: Construction quality and sound reproduction.
Cons: None
Review: I bought these to replace a pair of Sony buds that I fell to sleep wearing and broke the wire. I am really impressed with the sound quality. The bass is rich and deep the treble is crisp and sharp and the mid-range is smooth and clear. So far I have not ...

Epinions Returned Bose got these Thank You SONY no return necessary

by  jgojgosjoo,  Jan 15, 2007
Pros: Buy these now. Best out there and under a bill.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Review: Awesome. They are far superior to the Bose Triports, and the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 2, my last set of earbuds. The Sony MDR-EX71SL's even outperformed both aforementioned products. The Sony MDR-EX90LP's are obviously and markedly an improvement over ...

Epinions Good Set of Headphones

by  aquisticphile,  Jun 7, 2006
Pros: rich warm sounds, crisp quality of music, improve the mp3 sound.
Cons: They are not that comfortable to wear for extended periods of time
Review: The deep base and good acoustic sound deliver a rich warm sound. Overall worth the money to see Sony put out a product that will last. ...

Epinions Sony's flagship again

by  bennetng,  Oct 21, 2006
Pros: sound quality
Cons: isolation
The Bottom Line: Don't overlook this one, give it a try and you may like it.
Review: I have used quite a number of Sony earphones, namely E837, E838, E888, E931and EX90. While EX90 is the most expensive one (HKD$668), I think it is worth the money. Sound Crisp and clear with great transient response, plucking and percussive ...

Epinions For the money....whatever!!!

by  boomerfz1,  Apr 27, 2006
Pros: I like the looks of 'em. They sounded okay.
Cons: Isolation (meaning that there is none) and that truly effects the sound.
Review: I bought these phones pretty much to just try 'em out. They did sound good and are a major improvement over any other Sony canal phones I've used but the fit is just about the same. In other words, they not ever close to Shure, Ety or UE with regards ...

Epinions Save your Money$$$$

by  surfdaddy,  Aug 3, 2006
Pros: None
Cons: Price and poor bass
Review: These ear buds are not worth the money, I have the Sony 51, 71 and 81's and they are wonderful, but for twice the price - they are not worth the investment. They claim that the bass is much stronger, not the case. I tested these with my older Sony's ...
